Matt Schneider is the owner of GSI Boat, a commercial boat brokerage located in Seattle, WA. Matt had a big vision: he wanted to create a website that would revolutionize the commercial boating industry. Rather than paying a huge commission to a broker, sellers could post their boat directly on his website for a low flat fee and communicate with buyers directly.
The Challenge:
The technical requirements for the website were extensive and complicated. Matt hired an offshore team to build the first version of the website. But it didn’t work very well. The website was clunky, hard to use, and full of bugs that annoyed him and his customers. After investing a lot of money with little to show for it, Matt was frustrated and didn’t know who to turn to.
